Survey - steep sloping & cambered (dangerous!), overgrown, shady, poor security, long & narrow
Design - level areas (dining, lawn,coffee/morning sun), sweeping steps, stock brick& sleepers, raised borders, lighting




Littleheath Biodiversity Garden
The Brief - a relaxing, sustainable space encouraging pollinators, wildflowers, low maintenance, low impact build & waste
Survey - tired lawn & borders, visually unappealing, exposed aspect, over-looked & lack of seating area
Design - relocate shed, SUD's type seating area, wildflower meadow, flowering shrubs, new trees, materials upcycling (low wood+brick bio-stacks), stumpery, reduce amenity lawn





Charlton Contemporary



The Brief - an elegant, contemporary style, family & entertaining, ease of access, clean lines with in-built seating
Survey - tired lawns, visually unappealing, safety risks (slip, slope, edges), lack of seating area
Design - tiered planters with generous centre steps. Lower level seating, mid level entertaining area, upper level restyled lawn. Fences & outdoor office repainted to unify design to floor.
Vanburgh Vamp

The Brief - redesign a neglected rear garden to provide interest, a sense of space & strong, lawned aesthetic. Really wanted to keep the shed!
Survey - overgrown, shady, felt small, and exhausted grass ! Terrible access for build!
Design - Use of curves to break-up linear feel and provide planting areas to obscure direct views. Raise eye level via structure and planting. Concealed shed by repositioning & painting black. Evergreen shrubs and climbers for year round greenery.



Setting the (Blackheath) Standard
The Brief - redesign a tired rear garden to provide interest, privacy from neighbouring public building, small sun patio
Survey - overgrown, shady, felt small, collaping fences and exhausted grass !
Design - Bicircular structure to break-up linear feel and provide planting areas to obscure direct views. Obscured neighbours by pleached trees . Evergreen shrubs and climbers for year round greenery.



Re-Greening in Greenwich
The Brief - provide a lush evergreen theme, improve privacy, reduce blown in litter, more shade, plants to not die!
Survey - petite basement space, exposed to public & full sun repeated planting failures, containers only
Design - mix faux foliage (vegetation panels) with real planting, robust plant selection, reset container positioning
